About Ruth
Ruth Felt is a compassionate and culturally attuned mental health provider with a clinical focus on depression, anxiety, trauma, and women’s issues, including perinatal and postpartum mental health. She brings an authentic, relational approach to therapy by supporting women as they navigate transitions, identity shifts, emotional overwhelm, and the often-invisible weight of expectation.
Ruth holds an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University Irvine and an M.A. in Intercultural Communication from Wheaton College. She is a National Certified Counselor and a certified coach through Coaching Mission International. Her extensive training in cultural sensitivity and therapeutic relationship-building allows her to hold space for deep healing and meaningful growth.
Living and working in China for 15 years gives her unique insight into the challenges of life transitions, cultural adjustment, and identity reconstruction, making her especially attuned to the impact of context on mental health. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and volunteering in her church and community.
Ruth’s therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and integrative style, drawing on elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, and person-centered therapy. Ruth fosters a respectful, inclusive space where individuals of all backgrounds, religions, sexual orientation, and lifestyles can embrace their inherent value and unique identity. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside individuals as they move toward emotional wellness and empowered living.
