About Macayla
Macayla Duffus, BSW, MSW Intern is a dedicated and compassionate emerging social work professional who earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Georgia State University in 2024. She is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work while gaining hands-on clinical experience as an intern at Renewed Journey Counseling Services.
Macayla is passionate about supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges, with a focus on fostering emotional wellness, personal growth, and resilience. Her approach is rooted in empathy, cultural responsiveness, and a strong commitment to client-centered care. Through her academic training and clinical experience, she continues to build skills in assessment, therapeutic engagement, and resource support.
Macayla strives to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. She values building meaningful therapeutic relationships and is dedicated to helping individuals develop the insight and tools needed to move forward with confidence in their personal journeys.
