Treating with Benzodiazepines

No, our practice does not prescribe or refill benzodiazepines. Research has shown that while these medications can manage anxiety, they also carry significant physical and mental health risks. If you choose to continue care with our practice, you have the option to maintain your benzodiazepine prescription through your previous provider. Alternatively, we can work with you to gradually taper off your current benzodiazepine use and explore other treatment options. These alternatives may include medication therapy and referrals to other specialists as needed.
