With approximately 14 yrs experience in the counseling profession, I enjoy working with adults, adolescents, and families whom have difficulty coping with various change of life experiences, mental health, and behavioral issues.  My areas of specialty are trauma and grief.  I also have special interest in anxiety and depression.  I provide counseling services in a non-judgmental way, allowing clients the freedom to communicate openly in a safe environment. Treatment modalities include trauma informed cognitive behavioral, person-centered,  and motivational interviewing therapies.  I take great pride in helping others grow through their journey called life.

I am a licensed professional counselor in the states of Georgia and Oklahoma.  Since 2007, I have practiced counseling in community, private practice, partial hospital, acute hospital, and residential settings. My education includes a bachelor of science degree from the University of West Alabama in biology education and a master of science degree from Southern Nazarene University in counseling psychology.  My master’s thesis entitled “Extended Family Support: Making a Difference in the Attachment Styles of Adult Children of Divorce” was published in the Journal of Scientific Psychology.
