She has also worked with people struggling with addiction and psychosis. She feels that individuals should feel heard, understood, and validated in their experiences in therapy. That is why she wants her knowledge to bring positive change into a client's life. She learned how to serve diverse populations with a wide range of issues such as depression, anxiety, and substance abuse. She has previously worked in a hospital serving those under acute care, helping individuals and their families gain resources. She has experience working with those who have chronic mental illness in the community by providing them with a safe environment to express themselves and become more independent. Her goal as a counselor is to use skills to equip clients with their own strategies to heal and build resiliency for their future needs..
